Thanks to a mysterious user by the name of deuxani, we now have a better look at Sony Ericsson's forthcoming P700i smartphone. The phone will come with a 2.6-inch QVGA screen and 3.2-megapixel camera with duplex LED light.

It'll have three flavors of wireless including 3G, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth. As you can tell by the image, it'll also have a two-letter-per-key keyboard, which kinda ruins it for me ( I could never get used to that style of texting). Otherwise, it looks pretty solid. No word on availability yet.

Si le P700i est exploitable, sans bug, et une bonne autonomie ( tout le contraire du M600i) alors ces manques ne seront qu'anecdotes ...
J'ai besoin d'un mobile fiable, pas d'une vitrine technologique ...

Le dernier terminal mobile présenté par Sony Ericsson est un smartphone à écran tactile sous Symbian UIQ qui se veut prendre la succession des actuels M600i et P990i. Moins encombrant que le P990 de 25 %, le désormais nommé Sony Ericsson P1 intègre un écran QVGA d'une taille de 2,6 pouces pour 262 000 couleurs.

Sony Ericsson P1Son form factor laisse apparaitre un clavier AZERTY complet de type « SureType », deux lettres étant représentées sur une même touche. Bénéficiant des fonctionnalités des modèles précédents, le Sony Ericsson P1 offre une large gamme de solutions de push e-mail et d'applications de navigation Web, ainsi que la connectivité UMTS. Le P1 est également un bureau mobile complet à lui tout seul. Il intègre le système d'exploitation Symbian (version 9.1) et la plate-forme ouverte UIQ 3.0.

A l'occasion de l'annonce de ce produit, Steve Walker, le directeur du marketing produits chez Sony Ericsson, a expliqué que « en un sens, le Sony Ericsson P1 représente une évolution de notre gamme P de smartphones, car il met en avant les meilleurs attributs de ses prédécesseurs tout en bénéficiant d'avancées majeures en termes de design, de rapidité et d'autonomie ».

Au niveau technique, le P1 possède un appareil photo numérique de 3,2 mégapixels avec auto focus, le Bluetooth 2.0 en plus du WiFi 802.11b, 160 Mo de mémoire interne, un port pour carte mémoire Memory Stick Micro (carte de 512 Mo fournie), un port infrarouge et enfin un Tuner FM. Tribande GSM, GPRS (900/1800/1900 Mhz) et UMTS (2100 Mhz), le P1 dispose enfin de différents logiciels pré installés dont un scanneur de cartes de visite, un navigateur Web Opera 8, différents clients de Push Mail, une fonction TrackID (pour connaitre le nom de certaines musiques) et des jeux en 3D.

Avec des dimensions relativement compactes (106 x 55 x 17 mm pour 124 grammes), le Sony Ericsson P1 sera commercialisé dans le courant du troisième trimestre 2007 pour un prix encore inconnu.
