We had our doubts the first time but now we are pretty sure this is what the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X2 will look like. The second portion of blurry photos totally convinces that the device is really in the making and much to our pleasure this reveals a large part of its specs sheet.

Apparently the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X2 will feature a 3.5" WVGA OLED (!) touchscreen display and an 8 megapixel auto focus camera as its two most major upgrades. The processor speed will also be upped and the RAM will be increased to 512 MB.

The Sony XPERIA X2 will run on Sony Ericsson-customized Windows Mobile 6.5 OS (which will probably be taken beyond the X-panels UI plug-in). The panels themselves will receive some new features too, including PS3 remote play. They will also come with Windows Mobile 7 support so an upgrade will be possible when the OS eventually becomes available.

Finally, Assisted GPS will also be present onboard and so will the VGA video recording of the original Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1.

At this stage there's no official confirmation on either the release date or the pricing of Sony Ericsson XPERIA X2.

So every cloud does have a silver lining after all. The Sony Ericsson fans were treated to some pretty uninspiring shots of the new XPERIA X2 last week but now its reappearance gives more reason to cheer. Wearing a shiny new white and silver dress the XPERIA X2 has this time even posed for a couple of screenshots.

Sony Ericsson XPERIA X2

Sony Ericsson XPERIA X2 is yet to be officially announced by the company but rumors about its specs are already spreading like forest fire around the web. Seeing the screenshots we can now safely confirm that it will run on Windows Mobile 6.5 and will sport 3G with HSDPA support. Also based on the previous leak it will come with an 8 megapixel auto focus shooter and a LED flash. The X-panels interface almost doesn't need to be mentioned - this is an XPERIA we are talking about after all.

On the other hand the current leak shows that the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X2 will come with 256 MB of RAM and a Qualcomm MSM7200 chipset with a 528 MHz processor just like the XPERIA X1. Previous rumors had it that it will sport 512 MB of RAM and a faster CPU but it seems we won't be that lucky. Let's hope that at least the bit about the 3.5" WVGA OLED display turns out correct.

The long sought-after Sony Ericsson XPERIA X2 is finally ready to make an official appearance. No more teasing, we are about to see its true specs at last and will do so sometime next week. That will come in handy to finally confirm (or disprove) the initial rumor of 3.5" WVGA OLED.

The first rumors for CPU speed and RAM are probably false, so we are not quite sure what to believe about the touchscreen display. What is certain of the XPERIA X2 feature set is the looks, the Windows Mobile 6.5 with the X-Panels plug-in and the QWERTY keyboard. The 8 megapixel autofocus snapper with LED flash also sounds exciting and is a major boost from the XPERIA X1. There are some unconfirmed but plausible rumored specs - roomy internal memory, GPS and PS3 remote play.

If "next week" means Monday, September 1st, then Sony Ericsson will beat the traffic with the XPERIA X2 announcement - Nokia World is coming September 2nd and we guess some pretty hot stuff will be unveiled there too. So Sony Sony Ericsson better put the hype they've built up to good use as the company needs to swiftly change its fortunes. So far rumor has it that it'll be just the XPERIA X2 on this announcement, which means we'll have to wait a while longer for the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X3, formerly known as Rachael

Le plus dommage, c'est qu'il se traîne lamentablement. La vache, j'avais pas vu une lenteur pareil depuis longtemps.
